Glow Within

Hey guys, I am back with another blogpost. I hope all of you all are doing well and enjoying your summer break. I wanted to share this post with you all because I feel that it can really help you guys because it really helped me. I wanted to share with you all that we have to “glow within” meaning we must love who we are on the inside before we begin to accept our exterior beauty. This is a struggle of mine since I have and still struggle with self-esteem and insecurities. I really want to urge you guys to love yourselves. Be kind to yourselves. Gas yourself up in the mirror. It doesn’t matter if you have stretch marks, acne, body issues, hair problems, etc. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER THIS WORLD. YOUR EXISTENCE IS SIGNIFICANT. Especially for my people of color, since we come from royalty. Usually, as black and brown people, we struggle the most with confidence and self-worth since the world can project their Eurocentric beauty standards onto us. No matter your skin tone, hair length, body type or whatever, YOU ARE GORGEOUS. You have value beyond your looks. If I have learned anything on this earth, it is that beauty fades and we must rely on more than just physical features. Kindness is beautiful. Intelligence is beautiful. Courage is beautiful. Beauty comes in so many different forms. Please do not compare your beauty to someone else, because it will only end in feelings of inadequacy and sadness. I noticed that when I compared myself to others, I would feel dejected and low because I tried to measure up to an entirely different human being. You will never know what someone has been through, the pain they’ve endured, the nights they’ve struggled to make ends meet, the tears they’ve shed, the frustration they’ve had. All of these things cannot be quantified into just a look. We are so much more than our looks and we can’t compare ourselves to people who may not even know intimately. You are more than enough and so special, so don’t ever feel that you must compare what you have going on to someone else’s. God’s timing is the best because it varies depending on the person. Crockpots cook the food slowly with time, patience and consideration. There is no rush. Then, when the dish is done it is one of the best meals ever because it took time to become ready and prepared for consumption. Microwaves are nice and convenient because it cooks food fast. It solves your problem super quickly, but it doesn’t have that same flavor of the crockpot. It doesn’t have the longevity of how it could be something much more. So please keep being in the crockpot. God has something in store for you that you may not even be able to fathom right now in your life. So, take your time. Live for you. Live with joy. Somebody in this world loves you and is praying for you. I love you guys and I hope you have a wonderful day and overall summer. Wish you the best guys. See you later 🙂
